Lead Google Cloud Solutions Engineer, Network at Humana in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer (Network) is responsible for the planning, design, and engineering of enterprise-level infrastructure and platforms related to cloud network & cloud computing. The Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer (Network) provides strategic advice and guidance to functional team(s). Highly skilled with broad, advanced technical experience. The individual in this role will lead Humana network infrastructure implementation for Google Cloud. The Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer (Network) performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications for cloud network and cloud computing environments. Develops specifications for new IT cloud computing products and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies. Works with senior executives to develop and drive segment or enterprise-wide functional strategies. Advises one or more areas, programs or functions and provides recommendations to senior executives on matters of significance, and as an advanced subject matter expert competent to work at very high levels in multiple knowledge and functional areas across the enterprise. This role will have particular focus in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer (Network) develops and evaluates cloud network performance criteria and measurement methods. Prepares the analysis of the short term or long-term capacity needs for switching, routing transmission and signaling. Conducts cloud network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies. Develops alternative cloud routing scenarios and changes in required sequence of network activities. Conducts economic and population growth studies to determine impact on cloud network capacity and development plan projections. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to more complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Performs on-call and implementation duties on nights and weekends as required.
