Summary/Objective:

Perform duties to set up and operate equipment in the casting department to cast films in accordance with customer specifications, product specifications and shop orders.

Roles Responsibilities:Operate equipment to cast films as outlined on shop orders, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.Review shop orders and process specifications to determine materials required, quantity and product dimensions, and machine set-up.General Casting Duties:

Ability to read shop orders, material part numbers, and weekly product schedule.Setup - Align and load materials rolls on unwind shaft and thread material through machine according to SOP (Standard Operation Procedures).Setup machine parameters as required (tension, gap, pressure, etc.)Set counters and record material used and scrapped.Ability to operate the NDC gauging system.Monitor the casting line operation for proper coating and film propertiesPerform checks for material defects, make equipment adjustments as necessary to maintain part quality standards, flag and notify Quality Assurance department of questionable material.Locate materials using SAPUnload rolls from the machine and move to appropriate staging area.Perform QA testing as needed (physical properties, color, gloss, contrast ratio, etc.)Ability to make liner and product rewind transfers.Perform inventory transaction in SAP and create inventory tags and return excess stock to storage and enter location data into SAP.Clean and set-up wet-end equipment (coating head, pump, and filters) as needed and monitor and make process/equipment as needed. Identify casting defects and make corrective action to eliminate the defect.Operate the wet end control panel.Record and input QA data into SAP.Follow and address safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.Set up mixers, pump, tote, hose, liner, and adhesive according to work order requirements.Handling Hazardous Waste and procedures.Operate Forklift and Safety procedures.Operate Hoist and Safety procedures.Understand and follow all LOTO and grounding procedures.Requirements

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent.Six months of previous manufacturing experience.

Language Skills:

Excellent communication skills required. Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of organization, external suppliers and customers.

Pay Transparency:

The current pay rate for this position is between $25.00 - $31.00 per hour. Rate of pay will depend on factors such as market conditions and location, job-related knowledge and skills, education, training and experience. If hired, employment will be at will.
