Summary

The Business Systems Analyst, Director oversees a team of Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) and Quality Assurance (QA) Managers who provide professional services to clients and internal teams during implementations as well as customer support post go-live. This role requires a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of the BSA and QA roles and responsibilities, exceptional strategic thinking, and a proven record in managing and guiding a high-performing team.

Duties and Responsibilities

Lead, mentor and develop a team of Business Systems Analysts and Quality Assurance resources to achieve high performance and professional growth.

Manage the recruitment, training and performance evaluation of team members.

Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

Collaborate with client services and software engineering leadership to ensure the standards for BSAs and QA Managers align with the needs of the organization and best practices.

Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements and cost reduction.

Ensure that BSA and QA deliverables meet the needs of the organization and align with best practices.

Act as a primary point of contact between business units and other departments, ensuring effective communication.

Manage stakeholder expectations and address any concerns or issues that arise.

Lead change management efforts to align BSA and QA resources team vision with company’s strategic goals.

Develop and deliver training sessions, and provide guidance on best practices and standards.

Proactively identify and implement process and technology improvements, while managing risks and ensuring open communication.

Full managerial responsibility for the assigned team, including compensation planning and performance management.

Manages activities of a section or department, with accountability for results including costs, methods, and staffing.

Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies.

Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect the immediate area.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Professional certifications related to Business Analysis or Project Management.

10+ years of experience in business analysis, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.

Strong understanding of business analysis and quality assurance methodologies, tools, and techniques.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to analyze and solve complex business problems and translate them into actionable solutions.

Experienced in software development lifecycle methodologies, such as agile or waterfall.

Salary Range

Salary Range: $180-200k annual salary + performance bonus

Working Conditions

Hybrid: 2-3x week onsite. Los Angeles, CA or Plano, TX

Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each work day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
