WHAT YOU WILL DO

Purpose of this Role:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for timely and accurate preparation financial statements and associated documentation. This role assists with the formulation and execution of internal controls and policies within the Finance and Accounting functions of the business. The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing balance sheet, revenue, expense, and payroll account reconciliations, as well as executing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

The Staff Accountant adds value to the Finance department by providing quality work product and a developed understanding of the accounting function as it relates to the organization. The value of this role is further demonstrated by the Staff Accountant’s ability to provide expertise and insight due to the knowledge and experience they have gained.

Duties and Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

General ledger responsibilities including preparing and recording standard journal entries for asset, liability, revenue, and expenses by compiling and analyzing account informationMaintains and balances accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepanciesEnsure internal controls are followed and appropriate documentation is maintained as mandated by a360 policies and procedures related to compliance with Sarbanes OxleyAssist with the month-end closing process, conducting research and making correction journal entries for account discrepancies, prepares closing journal entries, posts accrual entries, and prepares required management reportingAssist with the preparation of assigned financial statements and related footnotes monthly, quarterly, and annuallyPrepare assigned audit work papers and assist with audit requestsProvide assistance and backup to other areas in finance and accountingAssist and support GAAP reportingUpdate job knowledge by participating in educational and professional development opportunitiesPrepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with established schedule and input from accounting team. Distribution of approved statements.Submit dashboard report for upload in PowerBIPrepare analysis reports and provide corrections as neededReview G/L for trend analysisUpdate equity roll forward monthlyAssist with necessary financial statement preparation for auditorsPrepare and complete debt roll-forward analysisAssist in the preparation of personal property tax documents and other government report filingsSpecial projects and other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The ideal candidate for this position has the following:

Bachelor of Arts/Science in Accounting preferred3 to 5 years of relevant work experienceAccounting: 3 years (Required)Conditions of Work:

Ability to sit or stand for long periodsAbility to remain focused for extended periodsAbility to work on computers for a significant portion of the dayAbility to perform repetitive movements as required for positions (Typing, clicking, swiveling)Ability to lift 10-20 pounds as needed
