The role:

The SoFi's Independent Testing Senior Analyst will have a key role in the implementation and execution of the second line of defense (2LoD) control monitoring program. This role will be responsible for executing continuous control monitoring to optimize operational risk oversight in a wide range of risk areas including but not limited to lending, credit and deposit products, investment products, partnership affiliates and technology services.

As a member of the 2LoD, this role will report to the Senior Manager of Independent Control Testing and be part of a team responsible for implementing continuous control monitoring to support near real time risk identification and collaborating with control owners to drive timely mitigation of deviations.

As part of the continuous control monitoring program, the Independent Testing Senior Analyst will leverage monitoring data to generate metrics supporting prioritization of deviation handling, 2LoD credible challenge process and risk identification.

What you'll do:

The role will entail the following activities on a regular basis:

Analyze documented controls and procedures to determine eligibility for control monitoring;Partner with control owners to determine appropriate logic to build control monitoring routines;Identify and document viable data sources and data fields for use in monitoring routines;Collaborate across the enterprise to automate the efficient collection of data;Work with control owners to prioritize corrective actions and maintain routines;Build analytics for 2LoD operational risk management, control and action owners;Assist in the design and implementation of the automated control monitoring program.

What you'll need:

Bachelor's degree5+ years of relevant operational risk, automation and continuous control monitoring experienceData and analytics skills including tools and techniques to enable automation (SQL, Python, Statistics, Excel)Understanding of risk governance and second line of defense processes used to review and challenge front line business unit risk management processesExperience with data visualization, aggregation, and reporting toolsSelf-motivated and highly effective interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to positively influence all levels of personnel, including senior leadership

Nice to have:

Implementation and operation of continuous control monitoring programsTableau data visualization and analysisLarge data management with Alteryx or similar toolExperience working in Google Docs, Sheets and SlidesAdvanced degree or certifications in risk management, data analytics or other relevant area

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and location.
