Position Summary:
The director of e-commerce is a high-impact leader that oversees the Unclaimed Baggage e-commerce business with P&L responsibility. This role is responsible for the creation & implementation of an e-commerce strategy to deliver significant sales growth. Leader will require passion to transform the guest experience across the digital landscape, identifying and pursuing white space opportunities. In addition to the strategic vision, work responsibilities include road mapping, plans, execution, and monitoring performance analytics, including product performance. This position is responsible for leading our e-commerce business and collaborating cross-functionally with the leadership team on our digital transformation.
Responsibilities:
Envisioning and implementing strategy for overall management & success of e-commerce platform (UnclaimedBaggage.com)
Maximize guest engagement by anticipating needs, exceeding expectations, improving conversion, and driving sales growth
Drive exceptional site experience, search functionality, site merchandising, new product on-boarding etc.
Overseeing third party vendors to execute vision
Collaborating with marketing and retail
Concentrate on audit of current system; improvements and adaptations where necessary that result in significant increase in new guests
Building new system for personalization into digital strategy for greater guest retention
Constantly seek optimization and growth through performance analysis with a test and learn mindset, focused on guest segmentation, creative partnerships, landing page optimization and more
Overseeing growth strategy in partnership with head of digital marketing
Qualifications:
At least 10+ years’ experience leading best in class digital strategy and execution
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and work tactically
Has an intense drive for excellence and sense of urgency
Demonstrates strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify trends, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving abilities
A passionate individual contributor who will thrive in a “roll-up your shirt sleeves culture” while maintaining a forward-thinking strategic perspective
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
