TITLE: Network Administrator
LOCATION: Houston, Texas

SALARY: $140,000 - $150,000
SUMMARY:
The Network Administrator will be responsible for supporting the IT and OT network environments including switches, routers, VPN configuration, firewalls, and field communication equipment.
DUTIES:
- Test network back-up procedures and update documentation
- Expected to engage in continues improvement projects
- Supports field technicians by troubleshooting communication related issues
- Manage projects for new locations and network expansions
- Ensure communications installations are on schedule with construction
- Ability to quickly isolate and remedy outages
- Analyze, design, and install of network systems to include LAN/WAN, Voice and field comms devices
- Build and maintain robust network infrastructure
- Manage multiple Telecom providers
- The Network Administrator maintains and is responsible for the entire network stack
from carrier to end point.
- The candidate must have experience directly supporting IT and OT environments
- Ensures the security and efficiency of the IT Infrastructure.
- Proactively monitor IT and OT networks for issues, interfacing with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages.
- Monitors IT and OT firewalls for any security related issues
- Support datacenter network operations
- Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining focus and calmness with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to follow defined procedures.
- Have a strong personal initiative and desire for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal operations staff across business units when troubleshooting complex issues.
- Strong working knowledge of change management processes
- Willingness to step outside "comfort zone" and learn and participate in other areas of the department when needed.
- Willingness and ability to support network during non-business hours as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years' experience directly supporting IT and OT networking environments
- Cisco ISR/ASR, Firepower
- Sierra Wireless / Peplink / CradlePoint / Cisco cellular routers
- Fortinet Suite (required)
- Fortinet switches and routers
- FortiManager
- FortiCloud
- Wireless LAN
- DMVPN
- SCADA experience
- AVPN
- PRI/SIP
- Experience with high availability networks
- Familiarity of EIGRP, BGP, RIP and OSPF
- Ability to install cellular, radio networks and vSAT field communications is required
- Experience with Outdoor Wireless Systems 2.4ghz, 5ghz, and 900mhz, private spectrum is preferred
EDUCATION:
- Fortinet NSE Certified (minimum Fortinet Certified Associate)
