The work environment is highly flexible, fosters creativity, and gives you a strong voice in the overall development process.Role & Responsibilities:Create large-scale global products for live events, on-demand content, and other video applications.Join a team dedicated to solving challenging problems and enhancing digital products for an engaged user experience.Design and build complex streaming applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and high reliability.Utilize HLS and DASH to deliver high-quality video streaming experiences across web, mobile, and OTT devices.Configure and optimize SRT and RTMP for streaming video content.Participate in development, cloud architecture, and agile process methodologies.Maintain and expand your knowledge of multiple languages, frameworks, tools, devices, and applications.Lead and take ownership of critical projects and initiatives.Collaborate with a team of extraordinary engineers and streaming media technologists.Influence the innovation of video products used by millions of users worldwide.Engage in full lifecycle software development: requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.Help reshape the way content is consumed across various digital platforms.Skills & Experience Needed:5+ years of experience in streaming media engineering.Experience with live and VOD (Video on Demand) streaming media.Highly proficient in delivering high-quality video streaming experiences via HLS and/or DASH.Skilled with Videojs, Hls.jsHighly skilled with one or more video player frameworks; THEOplayer, Shaka Player, JW Player, Bitmovin, etc.Familiarity with Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI) platforms and OTT integrations.Skilled in video QoE metrics and ABR algorithms.Proficiency in React and JavaScript.Cloud experience with AWS and/or GCP.Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.Understanding of event-driven systems, patterns, and best practices.Experience with infrastructure as code, particularly Terraform.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field.What is Being Offered:Work at the intersection of technology, media, sports, and video entertainment.Build upon video streaming platforms and products used on a global scale.Hybrid work environment: 3 days in a brand-new, modern office space, 2 days remote.Full benefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision.Short-term and long-term disability insurance.Flexible working hours and environment.Extensive PTO: Nearly 30 days to start, including personal time off, company holidays, and a year-end break between Christmas and New Year’s.401k plan with matching up to 3%.Tuition reimbursement.Maternity and Paternity leave.Exclusive perks for company friends and family.If you’re a Senior Software Engineer (Media, Video Player) eager to take the lead in developing a vast array of video media platforms for a top-tier Sports and Entertainment enterprise, please apply today!
