Position Summary:

The Vice President of Strategy will be responsible for operations and executing on longer-term strategic projects for all Argos Partners facilities. This strategic leader will ensure high standards of service, operational efficiency, and service quality across all locations. The VP of Strategy will work closely with the executive team and, together with the Regional Director, will develop and implement growth strategies, improve operational processes, and maintain a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Projects:

Work with the executive team to develop and execute strategic plans for growth and expansion.

Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement innovative solutions.

Operational goal-setting for facilities on monthly, quarterly, and annual timeframes.

Carry out strategic projects in conjunction with executive team.

Operations:

Together with the Regional Director, oversee day-to-day operations of all regional facilities, ensuring consistent quality, efficiency, and customer service.

Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all locations.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, taking corrective action as needed.

Regular site visits to all facilities.

Integration of newly-acquired assets.

Competitive analysis, price benchmarking, and market intelligence gathering for each of the facilities.

Together with Regional Director, provide leadership for corporate staff, including annual reviews and performance management.

Oversee all marketing programs.

Financial Management:

Ensure financial targets are met; review financial performance monthly with executive team.

Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.

Facilities Management:

Oversee maintenance and upkeep of all facilities to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.

Create and maintain repair and maintenance schedule and budget for each facility.

Coordinate with facility managers to schedule regular maintenance and address any repair needs.

Ensure facilities are equipped with the necessary supplies and equipment to operate efficiently.

Implement improvements and upgrades to facilities as needed to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure all facilities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

Implement and maintain safety protocols to ensure the well-being of both employees and animals.

Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the pet care, hospitality, retail, or food service industries.

Proven track record of successfully executing on strategic projects.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Passion for animals and commitment to high standards of care.

Compensation Package:

Base Salary:

$100,000 - $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Performance Bonus:

Up to 20% of base salary, based on achieving operational and financial targets.
