Plant Services Specialist (2nd shift 12:30pm - 9pm)

This is a 2nd shift position with an additional 10% shift differential.Job SummarySupport pharmaceutical manufacturing plant, equipment, and utilities, and maintain compliance with all state and federal guidelines with emphasis on current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) requirements.Area Of ResponsibilityDevelop and maintain records on pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, utilities, and systems to maintain operations and validationManage execution of PMP programs consistent with cGMP engineering maintenance requirementsInteract with and direct vendors for manufacturing improvement and plant maintenance (i.e. HVAC, Clean Utilities, trades)Serve as Support for Manufacturing equipment and processes (i.e LYO, Filling, mixing, autoclaves, washers, granulators, label, packaging and inspection)Serve as support for Security/System Monitoring/Fire System, janitorial services, and waste water certificationsSupport Plant Services and Manufacturing teams in cleanroom environmentsPerform improvements and maintenance activities in cleanroom environmentsPerform non-routine and off-hours tasks as necessarySupport area validation, calibration, certification efforts, and the transfer of new processes to the manufacturing areaSolve simple to complex problems related to equipment or processPerform equipment, utility, and plant validation as neededReview and update maintenance SOPs for plant, equipment, and utilitiesFollow all company policies related to job safetyWork with supervision using some standard procedures as well as troubleshooting and decision makingTroubleshoot manufacturing equipment/plant/utility problemsSupport operations improvement and maintenance projectsPerform improvements and maintenance as required to support all operationsSupport validation maintenance programExecute validations for manufacturing equipment and processes as neededMaintain records for operations plant, equipment, and utilitiesMonitor steam utility per MA State requirementsOther duties as assignedEducation and Job QualificationHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredTechnical certification preferredKnowledge of pharmaceutical Plant/Maintenance/manufacturing Operations or related environmentKnowledge of aseptic techniquesAbility to read & create engineering drawings(State boilers Special License to Operate or higher preferred / obtain within 6 months of employment)Electricians license preferredAbility to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workloadFamiliarity with use of computers and MS OfficeExperience Required:Minimum 2 years related experience required, preferably in the pharmaceutical industryExperience with Building Automation SystemsHAZMAT trainingProficient with use of hand tools and power equipmentDemonstrated mechanical abilityWillingness and ability to obtain Boiler Specialist License required; Current Firemans License preferredPreferred:Pharmaceutical industry experienceFormal cGMP trainingExperience reviewing/updating Standard Operating ProceduresExperience maintaining operation recordsSun Pharmaceutical Industries Inc. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan.
