A law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Litigation/Trial Attorney to join its team in Minneapolis, MN. The ideal candidate will have between 4 to 15 years of experience in litigation and trial work. This role involves managing a diverse caseload, conducting thorough legal research, and representing clients in court. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Represent clients in court, including trials, hearings, and mediations. Conduct thorough legal research and draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents. Manage all phases of litigation, from investigation and pleadings through trial, settlement negotiations, and appeals. Develop and implement case strategies that align with client goals. Conduct depositions, interrogations, and other forms of discovery. Advise clients on legal rights and obligations, guiding litigation processes and strategies. Maintain client relationships, ensuring regular communication and updates. Collaborate with colleagues, including other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, to ensure the efficient handling of cases. Participate in firm meetings, training sessions, and continuing legal education to stay current with legal trends and developments. Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active membership in good standing with the Minnesota State Bar. 4-15 years of experience in litigation and trial work. Proven track record of handling complex litigation cases. Strong knowledge of federal and state court procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:
Active membership in good standing with the Minnesota State Bar. Skills:
Proficiency in legal research tools and software. Strong advocacy and trial skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
