Looking for a skilled Semi Truck Driver in Sarasota, FL ready to make a difference? Join our team and be a key player in providing reliable and polite service to our valued customers. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our communities. We are in need of experienced semi-truck drivers to be part of this mission. You will mainly be responsible for transporting construction waste using a 100-walking floor/tipper trailer. Your daily task will involve moving debris from local transfer stations in Sarasota & Manatee counties to a landfill in Arcadia, completing a round trip lasting approximately 3 to 4 hours.
Responsibilities
•Safely operate a semi-truck to transport construction debris from local transfer stations in Sarasota & Manatee counties to a landfill in Sarasota, FL•Coordinate effectively with Dispatch, Supervisor, and driver team to ensure efficient customer service on various routes and schedules•Handle the loading and unloading of waste materials at designated facilities•Perform thorough pre-and post-trip inspections on the vehicle to guarantee proper functionality and address maintenance issues promptly•Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and promptly report any safety concerns to leadership
Qualifications
•Must possess a valid CDL class A license with at least 2 years of driving experience•Proficient in reading maps and utilizing navigational devices•Willingness to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and some holidays•Strong time management skills to efficiently and safely complete assigned routes•Ability to adapt to changes quickly•Excellent problem-solving abilities to handle unexpected situations•Team player mentality, fostering respectful interactions and collaboration with colleagues
