Prioritize meeting residents' needs with a person-directed approach that emphasizes their lifestyle preferences.Approach the role with a service-oriented mindset, supporting residents, family members, and those under your care.Develop resident-centered solutions that are appropriate and effective.Oversee both Assisted Living and Independent Living communities.Plan and organize activities aimed at promoting leisure, socialization, and mental/physical well-being of residents.Oversee arrangements for entertainment activities for Independent Living (IL) and Assisted Living (AL) residents.Plan and manage all aspects of day and overnight trips, ensuring suitability for residents.Ensure the safety and comfort of residents during all activities, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.Collaborate with the Life Enrichment team to consistently maintain high standards for activity scheduling, aligning with policies and regulatory requirements.Maintain accurate and detailed records of activity programs, tracking individual resident participation and progress towards established care plan goals.Direct in the coordination of special events, outings, and group activities to promote socialization and community engagement in all areas.Work closely with residents, families, and staff to gather feedback and suggestions for future activities, adapting programs to meet evolving needs.Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in recreation, sociology or related field, preferred; or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.Previous Assisted Living (AL) activities experience is required.Prior IL activities experience is a plus.ADC certification through NCCAP is highly desired.Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and respond to residents, visitors, team members, and vendors with courtesy and tact.Proven leadership and interpersonal skills to interact successfully with residents, families, team members, entertainers, and vendors.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by older adults.Flexibility and creativity to adapt activities to diverse interests and abilities.Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance in senior living communities is a plus.$62,000 - $62,000 a year
