The Role
Our Health Sciences Consulting Practice is one of the most prominent and significant in the industry. We’re looking for a leader to join us as a Senior Director in our Consulting practice. This role will report to the VP, Consulting – Health Sciences, and will focus on the Provider segment at the intersection of business and technology, helping lead the way as we continue to scale our business. Significant experience with stakeholders in the provider segment is required. Candidates should have worked across multiple lines of business including commercial and government programs (e.g., Medicare Advantage, managed Medicaid).

Responsibilities
Serve as a Consulting Leader in the Provider segment, bringing healthcare expertise to Cognizant’s clients.
Manage end-to-end responsibilities for management consulting engagements.
Ensure the business viability of complex solutions for Cognizant in key accounts for our Health Sciences practice.
Continuously assess the business for profitability and initiate remedial interventions where needed.
Formalize best-in-class practices, pursue the development of consulting thought leadership, and participate in industry forums and conferences.
Exercise financial accountability and responsibility for revenues and margin growth in practice area.
Ensure appropriate pricing for consultants across engagements and promote the education of project teams on consultative value.
Establish and nurture relationships with client executives in assigned accounts.
Build or facilitate the route to market of innovative practice solutions.
Actively build the consulting practice community by driving consensus about and standardization on best practices.
Manage and mentor a team of direct reports and oversee recruitment, onboarding, development, and engagement of consultants.
Author thought leadership insights on behalf of the practice.
Qualifications
15+ years of executive-level business or operations management experience, including management consulting experience.
Extensive domain knowledge and experience in Healthcare (provider) including government programs.
Experience in managing operations and growing key account business satisfaction.
Strong network of industry connections and presence in professional organizations.
Experience in building results-oriented, high-performing consulting teams.
Educational background to support the above; Bachelor’s degree required; MBA Preferred.
Personal leadership and a desire to create a culture that enables exceptional outcomes.
