The New York City office for Lockton's Northeast Series is hiring Risk Analysts for our fast-growing team, starting in June 2025!Overview:The Risk Analyst is Lockton Northeast's entry level position and is designed for a recent college graduate or experienced professional with 1-2 years of relevant insurance experience. The Analyst is the primary service contact for an assigned book of business of Property & Casualty business and is responsible for developing a strong working relationship with clients, carriers, and Lockton team members. The Analyst will be part of our Career Foundations Program, which is designed to provide the technical and practical training needed to develop the Analyst as they look forward to a successful and long-term career in the Lockton Northeast Series. The Analyst is responsible for day-to-day client service and renewal support to Client Managers, Senior Client Managers, and/or Account Executives.Core Responsibilities:Supports the Account Executives, Senior Client Managers, and Client Managers in:Responding to Client's inquiries, maintaining documentation of communications, existing issues, and issue resolutionsThe implementation of new lines of coverage by setting up account, collecting needed documentation, and reviewing plan details with Client and CarrierProviding Client service aligned with Lockton Northeast processes/protocols as it relates to the client engagement strategyGathering and compiling exposure information from the Client, including compiling loss-run schedules and client stratificationsRequesting and securing quotes from carriersAudits, quotes, binders, and endorsements and makes requests for changes as neededFollowing up for insurance policies then updates and completes policy check to ensure completenessUpdating specifications, application, and summary information to reflect changes during the yearInforming Client of any and all changes that may affect insurance premiums or coverageCreating and sending compliance communications as neededPreparing/drafting Client Engagement documents (Renewal Strategy, Stewardship and Renewal Presentations)Works with TSA department to issue and process invoices, Certificates of Insurance and Auto ID CardsResolves accounting issuesPerforms other responsibilities as neededQualifications
Bachelor's degree in a business-related program preferred or equivalent education and/or work experience requiredAbility to effectively and efficiently organize work and manage time in order to meet deadlinesExceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of client and company informationWillingness and ability to work outside of normal business hours and travel as neededStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position, now or in the futureThe most successful candidates will possess:An eagerness and enthusiasm to learn and be a part of their respective Unit or PracticeStrong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writingExcel at multi-tasking, adapt to change, and work on tight deadlines to meet client needsManage time effectively, prioritize and ensure that deadlines are met without compromising qualityExhibit intellectual curiosity and the entrepreneurial spirit, with a desire to learn the Property & Casualty insurance industry and grow with the company long-termThe initiative to actively participate in the Career Foundations Program and to pursue technical excellence through professional designations, industry workshops, etc.*Lockton is committed to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion.
