A highly regarded hospitality and entertainment group in Chicago's beautiful River North area is seeking a Senior Accountant with experience in full cycle accounting and reporting. This position will directly support accounting functions for a small portfolio, joining an excellent and experienced team in the accounting and finance department.
Responsibilities:Performs full cycle accounting for 2 business unitsReview and produce monthly financial statements, P&L and sales reportsReconcile and balance several bank accounts monthlyAnalyze financial statements, variances and provide explanations and notations as neededMonitor and process accounts payable, accounts receivable and daily recording of transactions to accounting softwareMonitor budgets, inventory, assets and depreciation schedulesAssist with monthly and quarterly reportsPrepares and executes journal entries, reclasses, omissions and accruals to the general ledgerParticipate in the integration of accounting system upgrades and other special projectsLead and assist Staff Accountant with accounting procedures and maintenance of accurate GAAP complianceQualifications:3+ years of accounting experience at a Staff or Senior levelDegree in Accounting or Finance preferredProfessional Service or Hospitality industry preferredMust have strong understanding of GAAP and accounting control proceduresSelf-starter, with great time-management skills, excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workflowsDETAILS:This position is a contract-to-hire opportunitySalary Ranges: $85,000-$95,000Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm or similarBenefits upon conversion include: health, vision and dental insurance, paid-time-off and holiday pay, paid-for parking or commute reimbursements, employee discounts and perks, life insurance, disability insurance, annual bonus and more!Pay Details:
