With a commitment to our vision that strong relationships drive strong results and better business, our people make Cooper Machinery Services legendary.Job Overview:The Product Leader plays a key role in developing the right suite of capabilities and strategies to strengthen and grow Cooper’s portfolio of services for all downstream customers, i.e., refineries and petrochemicals. This role requires subject matter expertise of the relevant products to drive customer awareness, and strong interpersonal skills to interact with and coordinate a multidisciplinary internal team (engineering, sales, marketing, finance, etc.) to deliver on the product strategy.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Build a roadmap that outlines a clear strategy to build our service portfolio for our downstream customers and develop a strong value proposition as Cooper.Conduct a gap analysis of as-is vs. desired future state of our capabilities and develop an action plan with a multidisciplinary task force to close the gap.Identify innovations and technology changes that can enhance our service offerings and develop business cases to allocate budget and assign resources.Set annual targets for the product line in collaboration with VP Sales and VP Regions.Partner with key account managers and regional VPs to engage with their “Top 20” customers; user group meetings, trade shows, lunch-‘n’-learn events, et al., to gather customer insights.Act as the voice of the customer leveraging their feedback to inform product development decisions.Travel is expected to be 25%-50%; leverage hybrid/online meetings in alignment with the key account managers and customers.Required Qualifications:Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering, product development, and/or sales origination within the downstream compression space.Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college preferred; minimum high-school diploma or GED with 5 to 10 years sales experience required.Strong reciprocating engine and compressor experience.Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Excellent verbal and written communications skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).Commitment to safety, customer service quality and to work in a team-oriented environment.Summary:
