As a
Tanks Manufacturing Engineer , you will be responsible for developing processes for dome, structures, and tank manufacturing for Helios.Helios is Impulse's new vehicle - a 3rd stage/kick stage. Launching in 2026, it is designed to take satellites & payloads to GEO for 1/3rd of today's current cost.
Responsibilities
Work with Responsible Engineers to solidify proper manufacturing processesDevelop & optimize manufacturing processes for tank integration & supporting structuresOwn the entire manufacturing life cycle for assigned projects & hardwareWork directly with machinists & technicians to produce high-quality hardwareWork directly with outside vendorsUpdate designs, manufacturing processes, and documentation to support continuous improvement
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, or related fieldDemonstrated experience of developing manufacturing processes from scratchAbility to thrive in an ambiguous environment2+ years of demonstrated hands-on manufacturing experience
Preferred Skills and Experience
Masters' degree in an engineering discipline6+ years of demonstrated hands-on manufacturing experience within aerospace or related industryPrevious experience working within a start-up2+ years of demonstrated experience with welding (laser, friction stir weld, TIG, etc.)
