Job Description:
The DoubleTree by Hilton in Davenport, IA, is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our hotel team. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction, profitability, and team engagement. You will play a key role in driving the hotel's success by implementing strategic initiatives, maintaining brand standards, and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
Oversee daily operations of the hotel, ensuring seamless guest experiences and adherence to brand standards.
Team Management:
Lead, motivate, and develop the hotel team, including department heads, to achieve operational excellence and drive performance.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage the hotel’s budget, including forecasting, expense control, and maximizing revenue opportunities.
Guest Satisfaction:
Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by continuously monitoring and improving service quality and addressing guest feedback.
Sales & Marketing:
Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to drive occupancy, revenue, and market share. Develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Brand Compliance:
Ensure the hotel complies with all DoubleTree by Hilton brand standards, policies, and procedures.
Community Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with the local community, stakeholders, and business partners.
Health & Safety:
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and employees.
Problem-Solving:
Address and resolve any operational challenges, guest complaints, or team concerns in a timely and effective manner.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably with Hilton or other full-service brands.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing hotel budgets and financial performance.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing operational challenges.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
A commitment to delivering outstanding guest service and upholding the DoubleTree brand’s reputation.
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
