Hazen is currently seeking a full-time Mid-Level Structural Engineer for an employment opportunity in our Twin Cities office.
Prospective applicants must have between 3 and 8 years of experience and a BS degree or MS (preferred) in Civil Engineering with a Structural Concentration from an ABET accredited institution. Applicants must also have a Professional Engineering (PE) license or the ability to obtain one in the State of Minnesota.
Responsibilities:
Perform assessments, design, and construction tasks for water and wastewater treatment projects.
Conduct site inspections and assessments of existing infrastructure.
Produce design calculations, technical reports, permitting, detailed design, and engineering plans/specifications for environmental structures such as industrial buildings, pump stations, process basins, storage facilities, and treatment facilities.
Participate in construction tasks for similar projects, including submittal review, responding to RFIs, site inspections, and clarifications during construction.
Lead the structural design and construction administration responsibilities for major projects involving upgrades to wastewater, water, and reclaimed water treatment plants, storage facilities, pipelines, stormwater systems, pump stations, and distribution/collection systems.
Utilize design and construction experience in reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, structural steel, and aluminum, with knowledge of applicable building codes and design standards including ACI, AISC, ASCE, and structural analysis and design software.
Communicate effectively and work successfully in a multi-discipline team environment.
