Sunset Senior Living is a full continuum of care community committed to providing exceptional care and support to our residents. We are seeking a motivated and experienced HR Director to join our team and oversee our human resources operations for our 170 employees.

Overview of Position:

This role includes developing and implementing HR policies, managing recruitment and onboarding, addressing employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, administering compensation and managing training and development programs. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills & experience in HR management.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in alignment with organizational goals.

Oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for new employees.

Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.

Advise department managers on proper procedures regarding progressive discipline and termination activity to ensure consistency in policy interpretation and application.

Oversee all payroll functions, assisting in payroll processing, year-end processing, & reporting.

Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Conduct training and development programs to enhance staff skills and performance.

Maintain worker compensation files, notify workers compensation provider of all work-related injuries & coordinate return to work by identifying potential job accommodation opportunities.

Administer compensation and benefits programs.

Maintain accurate employee records and HR metrics.

Collaborate with management to address HR needs and support organizational objectives.

Maintain OSHA log and ensure that it is current and up to date.

Plan, organize & implement employee activities and approved employee recognition programs.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.

Proven experience in HR in lieu of specific HR degree.

SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP or professional equivalent preferred.

2 years of HR experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations.

Proficiency in HRIS systems and payroll software: Paylocity preferred.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting is a plus.

About Sunset Senior Living:

Our beautiful eleven-acre campus at 418 Washington Street offers 132 licensed beds for health care services in the main building. The Villa complex, located just across the street from the main building, offers 16 condo-type apartments. Additionally, Sunset Apartments located at 301 North 8th Street offers independent living to seniors in a 92 unit apartment building.
