Director of Enrollment Management

The ideal candidate will be an engaging and creative individual with a warm demeanor and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a strong passion for independent schools and previous experience in educating individuals with learning differences.

This position reports to: Head of School

Salary: $52K – $60K. Salary commensurate with experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

The director of enrollment management is responsible for all functions related to enrollment, retention, and the awarding of tuition assistance. This individual works closely with the Director of Institutional Advancement in developing marketing strategy.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

To oversee the program of admission of new students to the school including the school year and summer programs.

To present the school to prospective students and parents in a caring and nurturing fashion; to facilitate the systematic and efficient handling of applications and communication with candidates and their parents.

To conduct interviews with candidates and their parents.

To communicate final decisions to the appropriate individuals.

To partner with the director of institutional advancement in the creation of appropriate admissions and marketing materials, mailing, publications and events.

To represent the school at various school fairs and conferences.

To serve as a spokesperson for the school at public events such as open houses.

To organize and administer the financial assistance program in conjunction with the business manager and the head of school.

To evaluate continually, and redesign where appropriate, all aspects of the admission program with the goal of attaining budgeted enrollment of qualified students.

To manage and support the re-enrollment of current students for the succeeding year.

To keep relevant statistics on all aspects of the admissions and re-enrollment program.

Qualifications

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Special Education or associated field required; Master’s preferred.

Five years of experience in the admission field; K-12 school preferred, higher education experience considered.
