Description

The

Payroll Supervisor

at Impulse will be supporting the employees with payroll questions and prepare and process bi-weekly payrolls and maintain accurate payroll records for both Hourly and Full-Time employees. This individual will be the main point of contact for employee payroll and payroll tax inquiries. Must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

Process bi-weekly payroll and ensure the overall accuracy of employee data entry through Gusto (currently) and later PaylocityPrepare data for payroll to include Time off: Vacation, Personal and Leave of AbsenceEnsures compliance with federal, state and local payroll, wage and hour laws and best practicesExperience with expense reimbursements, bonus payouts, and state tax registrationsExperience with processing stock compensation bonus and processing through payrollExperience with exempt and non-exempt employees, amendments, and payroll implementationsAccurately input and calculate tax withholding and paymentsReconcile payroll and validate reportsMaintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidentialMaintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changesPoint of contact for all payroll related inquiries and support issuesManage and process new hires, promotions, terminations, garnishments, wage assignments, benefit deductions, LOAs, etc.Review and audit W2’s and process 1099’sOrganizes and maintains confidential Human Resources files, including individual employee files, personnel and benefit filesPrepare supporting documents and assist with 401K matters and annual audit processBuild strong cross-functional relationships with key business partners in legal, HR and financeUnderstanding of internal controls over initiation, authorization, processing, recording and reporting of payroll transactionsLead International payroll transition to internal systems and process monthly payroll in other territoriesProcess T&E reimbursement to domestic and international employees, based on company policiesUpgrade process and procedures as company scales to integrate with latest technology

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s in accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related fieldMinimum 5+ years of demonstrated payroll processing experienceDemonstrated experience with audit procedures, state and federal payroll tax, and accounting practicesHigh degree of discretion in dealing with confidential matters and informationStrong analytical skills with an ability to detect inconsistencies in data.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multitask efficiently and meet deadlines accordinglyAbility to work effectively both with and without supervisionExperience using Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & ERP solutions)

Additional Information

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the
