Stafford Public Schools seeks a dynamic, supportive instructional leader committed to high-quality teaching and learning for the position of Interim Chief Academic Officer. Stafford Public Schools is located in a close-knit, welcoming community in Tolland County and enrolls approximately 1,370 students, boasting small class sizes. The Interim Chief Academic Officer will join a collaborative team committed to excellence in education and will assist in designing effective professional learning opportunities and developing written curriculum with educators.
Stafford Public Schools is committed to ensuring that all students succeed. The district was recently recognized by the Center for Literacy Research and Reading Success for its pilot process and implementation of Amplify CKLA, a Science of Reading-aligned program. In addition, Stafford High School was ranked first in the DRG in the Next Generation Accountability System for the 23-24 school year and has a graduation rate consistently at or above 95%.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Hold or be eligible for an Intermediate Administrator (092) certification
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge and experience in the areas of supervision, evaluation, staff development and instructional technology
Knowledge of, experience with, and a commitment to excellence in instructional leadership, with current knowledge of best practices of curriculum development, alignment and assessment
Experience with grant writing and management preferred
Such alternatives to the above qualifications that the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
STARTING DATE: October 8, 2024, or as soon as possible thereafterCOMPENSATION: 2024-2025 Salary Range is $145,000.00 - $160,000.00, with a comprehensive benefit package
