Position Purpose:

The Strategic Communications Lead at Mercy Care Atlanta is essential in crafting and managing engaging content across multiple platforms to support our mission. This role demands creativity, technical prowess, and strategic insight to produce compelling multimedia content that resonates with our diverse target audiences. Passion for making a positive impact is crucial.

What You Will Do:

Manage internal and external communications, ensuring alignment with brand standards.

Execute communication strategies across various media channels, emphasizing mission-focused content.

Plan, schedule, draft, and create engaging social media content.

Monitor social media accounts for engagement and responses.

Plan and manage events.

Maintain a communications calendar to ensure timely project delivery.

Develop and produce newsletters highlighting Mercy Care’s mission and events.

Support website maintenance to keep content fresh, engaging, and compliant.

Provide creative direction for corporate materials, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.

Design and implement communication materials for events, requests, or policy changes.

Generate media alerts, press releases, and build relationships with media outlets.

Share inspiring stories by interviewing patients, volunteers, and donors.

Manage archives of collateral, marketing materials, photos, and videos.

Use data-driven insights to optimize campaign strategies for continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or English.

3-5 years of communications experience, preferably in healthcare, medical, science, or pharma industries.

Strong writing, editing, grammar, and proofreading skills with well-crafted writing samples.

Proficiency in AP style and design/publication software.

Knowledge of social media and website content management systems.

Demonstrated success in campaign management, content creation, and strategic planning.
