ASSISTANT COUNTY ATTORNEY – CONSTRUCTION LAW

Palm Beach CountyThe Palm Beach County, FL, County Attorney’s Office is accepting applications for the position of Assistant County Attorney – Construction Law. Membership in the Florida Bar is required. A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in construction law is preferred, but exceptional candidates with less experience may be considered.The duties of the position include:Acting as the office’s construction law expert for County construction projects.Drafting and reviewing construction contracts and related documentation.Providing guidance on construction bidding issues and contract disputes.Representing the County in alternate dispute resolution proceedings and litigation arising from construction disputes.Handling some non-construction department or litigation matters as needed.Experience in local government law is desired. Must have a diligent work ethic, strong interpersonal skills, and be a team player. Certification by the Florida Bar in Construction Law is preferred.
