Principal Secure Processor Architect

in

Boeing’s Secure Computing Solutions group

located in

Pleasanton, CA; Huntington Beach, CA; or Berkeley, MO.

As a Secure Processor Architect in Boeing’s Secure Computing Solutions group, you will be part of the Core Engineering Team which develops leading-edge, secure System on Chip (SoC) solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

Author and implement the security architectural specification collaborating with a diverse team across many disciplines including design, verification, emulation, software, packaging, circuit board, and more.

Gather, analyze, and validate measured and simulated results to compare architectural design alternatives.

Lead and facilitate the complete security architectural implementation across the lifecycle, from concept to delivery, assess and refine implementation, and ensure requirements are met.

Keep abreast of processor, foundry, trust, intellectual property, packaging, standards, trends, tools & methodology and drive strategy.

Coordinate gap analysis and where needed execute on solutions.

Innovate and advance the Intellectual Property strategy.

Lead and execute make-buy and third-party strategies.

Serve as a mentor and trainer growing the capability of the team.

Collaborate with Chief Engineers and Technical Leaders.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

Currently possess a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.

10+ years of experience with System on Chip (SoC) hardware/software.

5+ years of experience in technical leadership.

Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience in SoC or processor security and security technologies including cryptography hardware, secure boot, memory encryption, isolation/sandboxing, life cycle management, debug, and more.

Inventions in one or more domains relevant to SoC design.

Experience with SoC architecture or microarchitecture performance modeling and studies.

Technical lead or SoC/chip lead experience working with collaborative cross-disciplinary teams (ASIC design, verification, physical design, emulation, software, electronic board design, and platform teams) through production/delivery of one or more SoC(s); if SoC(s) were RISC-V and/or ARM-based.

Comfortable communicating and solving issues at all levels of SoC development through the lifecycle including delivery and post-production.

Excel at pushing the state of the art while making the best engineering trade-offs.

Excellent analytical, written, and verbal interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a diverse team.

Excellent presentation skills including adapting to the audience: executive, industry, customers, and diverse cross-disciplinary junior engineers.

Technical document writing using Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Experience with ASIC design process and methodologies; and related tools: version control, bug database, etc.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 20 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+15 years' related work experience, Master+18 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the standard, although not required.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $177,650 - $257,600.
