What We Do

The President of Chromalloy Material Services (CMS) organization handles overseeing all aspects of its gas turbine engine MRO management business, inclusive of complete engine maintenance, serviceable engine sourcing, harvesting and restoration, overall engine asset management and used serviceable material inventory and sale management. The President will lead and develop a compelling and differentiated growth strategy and business plan for CMS, inclusive of aeroengine and aeroengine derivatives for the energy end market. Currently Chromalloy is focused on legacy engines including the PW2000, PW4000, CF680C2, LM2500 and LM6000, as well as mid-life engines, including the V2500 and CFM56.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strategically minded and results-oriented commercial and operations leader to drive the profitable growth of the business over the next several years with a diverse and global customer set. The ideal candidate should have the potential to grow into bigger and broader roles across Chromalloy. The location is Ft Lauderdale with expected commercial ownership of the San Diego engine MRO center; travel required.

Key responsibilities:Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy for the CMS unit, encompassing process optimization, supply chain management, quality control, and cost reduction.MRO Operations: Oversee and optimize maintenance, repair, and overhaul processes, aiming to reduce turnaround time, increase productivity, and minimize downtime.Team Leadership: Lead a multi-functional team in a matrix organization, leveraging the capabilities of the entire Chromalloy organization.Cost and Progress Management: Manage costs and build progress for engine tear-down, inspection, repair, assembly, and testing.Intercompany Management: Coordinate with third-party part solutions, including PMA parts and DER repairs, and manage inventory using SIOP processes.Asset Management: Actively manage customer and owned assets, ensuring efficient order-to-cash cycles.Collaboration: Engage with other Chromalloy facilities to drive multi-solution volumes and margins.Performance Management: Set goals, track progress, and mentor a team of MRO professionals.Culture Development: Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the CMS facility.Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets and financial plans to meet financial targets.Supplier Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience in an engine and/or gas turbine MRO aftermarket environment, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.Deep expertise in the Aircraft Engine MRO Industry is required. Experience in the Energy (Aero Derivatives) Industry would be an asset.Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.Must have an established network of contacts across airlines, lessors and engine MRO organizations worldwide.Thorough understanding of MRO standards, regulations, and safety, along with knowledge of aviation quality management systems.Strong project management skills (PMI certified preferred); an analytical mindset to bring innovation and critical thinking skills.Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of motivating and developing high-performing teams.Supply chain and inventory management expertise with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.At Chromalloy, we are looking for leaders that excel in delivering results, possess keen business acumen, inspire and develop people, navigate organizational change with agility, and foster a culture of innovation and creativity.
