who will be responsible for management of ADP's Global Product & Technology (GPT) agenda on achieving a fundamentally better reliability posture. Does this sound like you?

The

Chief Architect

will be a key member of the Smart Compliance Solutions (SCS) team which is a complex ecosystem of various tax products including Core tax, credits, garnishments and other solutions. This senior technologist, with their breadth of knowledge & depth of experience, will serve as a leader and subject matter expert in architectural strategies and solutions in Cloud & DevOps technologies.

Here’s what you can expect on a typical day in the life of a Chief Architect at ADP:

Architect advanced integration frameworks to support scalable, secure, and efficient exchange across diverse internal and external systems.

Spearhead the adoption of microservices architecture, containerization technologies, and serverless computing to enhance agility and scalability.

Lead the design and implementation of API management strategies, including API gateway configuration, versioning, and lifecycle management.

Implement robust governance models, ensuring architectural compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and best practices.

Analyzing, executing, automating processes and streamlining DevOps solutions, tools and practices.

Building collaborative forums to seek forward-thinking solutions that predict and drive positive change leading to an evolutionary transformation including mentoring junior architects and engineers and fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

Effectively communicating on current and future technology initiatives and strategy with senior stakeholders, leadership and C-level executives.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

A minimum of 10+ years of software engineering and/or infrastructure experience.

Mastery understanding of cloud software and data center infrastructure, integration and operational ecosystems and product knowledge.

Systematic problem-solving approach. Consistently offers recommendations to technical teams based on historical events, personal experience, and knowledge.

Capable of decision making and Leadership without oversight.

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.

Fluency in at least one programming language such as (e.g., Python, Java Spring Boot, .Net, etc.).

Deep knowledge of software applications and technical processes with emerging depth in one or more technical disciplines.

Proficiency and experience in observability such as white and black box monitoring, SLO alerting, and telemetry collection using tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, etc.

Proficiency in continuous integration and continuous delivery tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform, etc.).

Experience with container and container orchestration (e.g., ECS, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.).
