Job DescriptionAssists Supervisors- Manufacturing, in planning, organizing, staffing, directing, supervising, and controlling the daily manufacturing areas.Provide subject matter expertise of maintenance and setup of equipment learned through extensive technical training/certification to assist in ensuring the manufacturing operations operate efficiently and effectivelyManage and coordinate special projects with line supervisors, Press Operations, Maintenance or other departments such as implementing new equipment, training on new equipment or processes etc.Prepare reports for management as requiredProvide technical assistance to functional manufacturing areas responding to breakdowns and/or overhauls or equipmentAssist with new equipment evaluations and installationsDevelop training programs and job aids for new equipmentMonitor the production floor to assess technical needs of the departmentsProvide technical training for apprentices.Perform administrative and record keeping responsibilities.Meets quality and productivity levels by training and motivating employees to meet customer requirements and deadlines.Act as a leader in providing and promoting a safe and injury-free work environment.Improve productivity through involvement and accountability.Analyzes and resolves work-related problems and assists employees in solving problems.Identify and implement production efficiencies and quality control standards.Coordinates production activities with other functions/departments as well as with customers.Monitors production and provides guidance in troubleshooting any problem areas.Coaches employees to develop leadership and teamwork skills.Other duties as assignedQualifications
Good knowledge of installation and repair of more complex equipment and machinery (including their lubricating and control systems, and power drives)Ability to examine and troubleshoot to determine the extent of repairs required, materials or parts needed, and to estimate the time required to complete repairsAbility to interpret and apply the requirements contained in technical manuals, shop directives, multiview blueprints, and other documents in determining critical dimensions and key reference pointsFamiliarity with routine operating procedures of equipment which can be set up and operated following a few step by step instructions and the skill to operate the equipment.Requires skill to perform clerical tasks incidental to the operation of the equipment (e.g., maintain machine operating and maintenance records, write new identification labels for computer tapes, etc.), and skill to perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating the equipment.Ability to identify improper machine operation and make basic adjustments.Thorough knowledge of flexo printing procedures, materials and specifications, equipment, and safety requirements and skills to perform assignments.Ability to read and understand job specifications and knowledge of press capabilitiesSkill in routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment.Knowledge of the appropriate amount of pressure needed to obtain the best quality for the type of job being run.

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $24.00 to $26.00 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package has a sign-on bonus of $2,000.00, overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
