EVP, Multinational (Tower) Leader

is responsible for all aspects of Chubb’s Multinational business including business strategy, operations, underwriting, and business development for Multinational business in North America. The Multinational (MN) Leader is responsible for maintaining Chubb’s position as the premier provider of Multinational insurance in North America. The MN Leader will develop and implement business strategies to achieve the company's objectives and drive profitable growth for the MN Tower, which includes Commercial Insurance, Major Accounts, Small Commercial, and Westchester.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the business plan to achieve Chubb North America MN business objectives.Develop and execute underwriting strategies and guidelines for the MN Tower, ensuring alignment with the company's overall underwriting objectives.Develop and execute business development strategies, ensuring collaboration with other Chubb lines of business and partnership with Chubb Marketing and Communications.Ensure close alignment with Chubb Global Services, stay abreast of changing international regulatory and service needs, and facilitate/promote as Chubb market-leading differentiators.Lead all segments of the MN team including Home Office, TUM, field leadership, sales, and underwriting teams. Provide leadership and guidance in all aspects of the MN Tower.Evaluate and assess risks associated with multinational accounts, ensuring compliance with established underwriting guidelines and policies.Review and approve underwriting decisions for complex multinational accounts, providing technical expertise and guidance as needed.Collaborate with other business units and departments to ensure alignment of underwriting strategies and processes. Strong focus on cross-selling.Lead team (direct and indirect reports) of approximately 150 employees, ensuring business goals are achieved.Identify market trends and developments within the international market segment, promote thought leadership, and develop and implement strategies to capitalize on opportunities and mitigate risks.Build and maintain strong relationships with key multinational clients and brokers, acting as a trusted advisor and providing solutions to meet their needs.Monitor and analyze key performance metrics within the multinational segment and develop and implement action plans to address any issues or areas of improvement.Provide training, development, and career path opportunities for MN employees, ensuring continuous skills improvement, knowledge development, and leadership opportunity.Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices both within North America and internationally, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, risk management, finance, or a related field – or equivalent work experience. Relevant professional designation (e.g., CPCU, ARM) preferred.Minimum of 15 years of experience in underwriting, with a focus on multinational accounts. Previous leadership and management experience required.Prior Chubb employment experience is preferred.Strong Executive Presence is required.Ability to influence and negotiate, with 10+ years of leadership experience.Strong technical underwriting skills and knowledge of international insurance markets and products.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to evaluate complex risks and make informed underwriting decisions.Demonstrated ability to develop and execute underwriting and sales strategies to achieve business objectives.Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and brokers.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.Proficiency in underwriting software and systems.Ability to travel extensively each month.For this role, we will consider candidates at all core US locations for the opportunity.About UsChubb is a world leader in insurance.
