Job Description Summary

Unique Opportunity for an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) to provide Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC), Assistive Technology (AT), and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) therapy and training services to individuals with a variety of disabilities.Candidates must be willing and able to drive to different locations throughout Central Maryland and should be flexible with their schedule, caseload, and ability to work easily with others.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:Provide AT Setup and Training in the areas of physical access, cognitive, and low vision.Provide AAC training services for individuals with disabilities based on plans developed by a licensed speech-language pathologist.Assist with troubleshooting and problem solving relative to AAC and AT tools.Assist with the preparation and organization of training materials and resources.Prepare written reports as required.Complete Case Management, including scheduling, billing, and service provision.Maintain accurate training logs with relevant data to document client progress.Participate in ongoing professional development related to the field.Day travel to the following counties: Montgomery, Frederick, Washington, Carroll, Garrett, and Baltimore with travel reimbursement provided.Qualifications

Have active Certification as an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) through RESNAGeneral knowledge of AAC and AT devicesExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Skills

Skill in oral and written communication.Experience with AAC/AT service provision preferredThe following are required to be considered for employment:

COVID-19 VaccineValid Driver's LicenseMotor Vehicle Record with 2 or less pointsAbility to lift 25 Lbs. unassistedPhysical Requirements

Audio-visual acuity to be able to read small print and perform perceptual diagnostic assessments. Ability to reach, stoop, crouch, push, walk, stand, and lift 25 pounds.
