Plans, directs, and coordinates all activities associated with creating software across multiple functional areas and products.Prioritizes and allocates projects, products, and resources with the assistance of architects and managers.Participates in the strategic decisions about technology, definition, and implementation of the software products.Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of a multi-team or cross-functional organization.Directs software development projects to ensure that projects are completed on time and according to quality standards, facilitating communication upward and across project teams including project status, justifications for variances, and technical information.Organizes projects through development of a project plan which includes communication of product goals as defined by top management, definition of project strategy, identification of the roles and responsibilities of key project groups, development of a schedule with key milestones, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of project resources.Monitors technology trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities.Provides support required for the development, building, configuration, management, and documentation of systems supporting the mission. This includes documentation of software designs, user documentation, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems.Analyzes user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.Debugs existing software and designs and codes new software or modifies existing software to add new features.Qualifications

BS 8 Years, MS 6, PhD 3Active TS/SCI clearance is requiredIAT III CertificationProven ability to design and implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraintsProven ability to collaborate with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfacesAbility to coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are metMust be able to develop applications or software providing customized data solutions in a Splunk EnvironmentWorking Knowledge of Cyber Activities to include networks and associated technologies including routers, firewalls, and cross-domain solutions.Working Knowledge of data modeling/tagging, target/entry management, and Cyber taxonomiesWorking Knowledge of information security and architectureSplunk Engineering experience requiredPeraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap, and eligibility to participate in an attractive bonus plan.Peraton Overview

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
