Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a Sr. Event Manager & Team Lead to join our client's team in San Francisco and San Jose, CA. The Sr. Event Manager & Team Lead is a mission-driven people leader with strengths in event design, execution, strategic planning, and partnership collaboration who excels in identifying roadblocks and implementing operational improvements, creating effective brand strategy and communications to lead the delivery of global campaigns, executive and VIP events on behalf of the GWE Programs team. Global Campaigns will be executed throughout the Americas, EMEA, JPAC and India. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, come up to speed quickly, have industry and internal employee events experience and build strong trust and rapport with our internal clients and Crawford events team from the start.
We are looking for someone with people management experience to lead a team of Crawford Event Specialists. Tasks would include scheduling resources, driving morale, annual goal setting, establishing performance metrics, and working closely with the GWE Programs team on strategy alignment and annual priorities with stakeholders.
This is a hybrid opportunity, one must be located near San Francisco Bay Area, CA.
Responsibilities:
Manage event coordinator team, meet weekly to understand current programs, bandwidth, challenges.
Provide mentorship and share areas of growth
Assign new programs/events
Continue to develop the team and identify opportunities to expand roles
Develop relationships with key stakeholders and partners to provide a collaborative and cohesive work environment
Identify gaps in processes and develop efficiencies
Partner with Global Workplace Experience on introducing fresh and creative concepts for employee facing events and company campaigns on the calendar
Drive and develop event strategy and creative ideation/forward thinking, bringing industry relevance and knowledge
Manage individual event budgets once passed down received from Global Event Strategist and other key budget holders
Drive events production schedules and production meetings with cross organizational teams
Research and line up event vendors for contract, invoices, and billing for Global Event Strategist approval and execution
Manage all contracted external vendors from preproduction, onsite execution, to post event wrap up
Actively manage VIP level employee facing events and liaise between internal partners and external vendors for flawless event execution as well as to support the company’s overall brand and corporate vision. Provide white glove experience, attention to detail, project management and strong communications
Gather feedback and event metrics such as attendance to population, estimated cost per person, estimated conversations created per event and deliver post event reports to Global Event Strategist
Provide production related support for the Global Event Strategist and other stakeholders
Requirements:
Senior-level program/project manager with 7+ years of experience
Must be organized, detail oriented, a self starter, proactive
Must be a people leader and creative executor
Event experience and production required
Experience with employee centered global gatherings and events
Be a smart and resourceful individual and team player
Experience with enterprise company or agency.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a highly complex matrix.
Ability to drive to tight deadlines.
