This person is responsible for helping to lead our growing ministry for children from 1st through 4th grade. This person provides a framework for communication and teamwork among leaders, volunteers, parents, and children. This person ensures the continued development of a high-quality, dynamic, fun, Christ-glorifying, and Bible-centered Grace Kids environment. The position requires strong leadership abilities, excellent management skills, a love for kids, and the ability to effectively communicate the heart of Grace Kids.

Monday – Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; Sunday 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM; 3 Flex hours and Ministry Special Events

Responsibilities/Duties

Enthusiastically committed to drawing children into the church and community and into a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Equip and empower parents to be the primary discipler of their children.

Continually shepherd kids in the Elementary division to follow Jesus and oversee & develop volunteers in this value.

Ensure consistent and effective weekly communication to volunteers & parents.

Manage weekly connection requests and/or 7-week calls as designated in Rock database.

Give feedback to Campus Support Grace Kids Director to help ensure that Grace Kids stays relevant to kid culture.

Execute the vision for a vibrant and growing Grace Kids experience.

Oversee recruiting, training, evaluating, shepherding, scheduling, and recognition of volunteers serving in the Grace Kids Elementary division.

Build, lead, empower, and shepherd leadership teams for areas such as small groups, Kids Worship, Repeater Room, Bible Bucks store, etc.

Prepare and teach the Why Baptism and New Believers Classes.

Collaborate with the development of campus-specific annual Ministry Plan and budget; track budget expenditures for the Elementary division.

Work in collaboration with Campus Support to implement policies and procedures of the Elementary division.

Work in collaboration with Campus Support to implement weekend small group curriculum and worship services.

Help coordinate the seamless transition of children from Grace Kids to G56 or Grace Students.

Work with teams to implement their campus SBO or SBO Jr.

Attend Tribes Camp with their kids and lead as needed.

Provide vision, leadership, and implementation of the Grace Group model to the Elementary division.

Demonstrate a great love for God and His people, His children, their parents, and our volunteers.

Attend staff-wide and ministry-specific meetings and trainings.

Oversee or implement other ministry duties or initiatives as requested by the Grace Kids Campus Director.

Skills/Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Experience and passion for church and the community.

Motivated to learn and lead.

Great relational skills; full of faith, friendly, calm, and professional.
