An HR Generalist leads the employee engagement initiative for our seven divisions under the RMA Worldwide enterprise. The onboarding generalist develops and leads the employee experience and creates employee-centric initiatives. Under the HRG leadership, employees receive routine communications enhancing their work-life balance. The HRG utilizes on-site, teleconferencing, video, and social media to inform employees of company wide initiatives. HRG has an exciting disposition and is a brand ambassador for the company. The HRG creates company policies & procedures and SOP to communicate effectively to the enterprise. As an employee experience advocate, the HRG creates an environment that inspires employee retention.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

On- site, physical Human Resources (HR) presence in Rockville, MarylandResponsible for local initiatives and assist with multi-state, multi-site aspects of HR to maintain positive associate relations.Collects and analyzes HR data related to compensation and employee experience and recommends/hosts trainings.Creates and manages effective retention strategies.Back up for the Payroll Specialist.Conducts Stay& Exit interviews.Responds to HR and employment-related inquiries from associates, supervisors, and managers and settle sensitive matters to resolution.Reviews HR policies and practices, ensures compliance with applicable labor laws or regulations and makes recommendations based on network-wide best practices for process improvement.Understands and communicates HR laws, policies, and practices with associates and leaders.Maintains knowledge of regulatory changes and employment law and observes trends in these areas.Ensures federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations compliance.Ability to handle ambiguity and move forward during change.Ability to work well as part of a cross-functional team.High professional standards regarding customer service and integrityLocation: Rockville, Maryland 20852

Requirements

At least a bachelor's degree in human resources management or a relevant field experienceExperience with ATS, HRIS, MS Office, MS ExcelSound knowledge of all labor lawsSound knowledge of employment paperwork (e.g., confidentiality act, fixed-term contracts, agreement terms, etc.)Ability to handle confidential information.Strong verbal & written, and on-screen communication skillsAbility to make quick decisions while working in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional time-management and organizational skillsTravel required.* Sign-on bonus paid out: $1,200 at $100/month for 12 months, $600 at $50/month for 12 months; payment ends if employment ends prior to the final payment*
