Senior Voice Engineer

Description: Responsible for designing, implementing, and managing advanced voice communication systems and technologies. You will leverage your expertise in voice engineering to ensure high-quality, reliable, and efficient voice services across the organization. This role involves troubleshooting complex voice issues, optimizing system performance, and leading projects to upgrade or deploy new voice solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Voice System Design & Implementation: Design and implement voice communication systems, including VoIP, PBX, SIP, and unified communications solutions. Develop and execute deployment plans for new voice technologies, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
System Maintenance & Optimization: Monitor and maintain the performance of voice systems to ensure reliability and quality. Perform regular system updates, patches, and configuration changes to optimize performance and security.
Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve complex voice communication issues, including call quality problems, connectivity issues, and system errors. Provide advanced support for escalated voice-related incidents and work closely with other IT teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
Project Management: Lead and manage voice-related projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and integrations. Coordinate with vendors, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation for voice systems, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. Generate and analyze reports on system performance, usage, and incidents to inform strategic decisions.
Innovation & Research: Stay current with emerging voice technologies and industry trends. Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance voice services and support organizational goals.
Skills/Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in voice engineering. Proven experience with VoIP, PBX systems, SIP trunking, and unified communications platforms.
Required Skills/ Skills/Experience: In-depth knowledge of voice communication protocols (SIP, H.323) and network fundamentals. Proficiency with voice system hardware, software, and troubleshooting tools. Experience with network design and configuration, including QoS and bandwidth Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure. management. Experience with the process of porting voice services between different carriers Webex Calling Webex Contact Center
Degree Requirements: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Certification Requirements: Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, Avaya, Cisco, CVP).
