BUS DRIVER(Recreation Department)
To transport participants to and from the Charter Township of Ypsilanti Community Center on various outings, and to ensure the safety of the passengers while in a Township vehicle..Essential Functions, Qualifications and KSA's for EmploymentThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities and minimum qualifications necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. These requirements may be accommodated for otherwise qualified individuals requiring and requesting such accommodations.
• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Possess and maintain a valid and appropriate Michigan Chauffer Driver's License meeting all State regulations.
• Possession of a safe driving record
• Extensive knowledge of traffic rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of safe driving practices.
• Experience in operating commercial passenger vehicles.
• Some mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and write at a level necessary to successfully perform the required duties.
• Ability to maintain composure and perform responsibilities under pressure and in cases of accidents or other emergencies.
• Ability to understand and carry out both oral and written instructions in an independent manner.
• Ability to drive a bus safely and efficiently.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and extreme caution while driving.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with supervisors and participants in the performance of required duties.
Pay: $18.00/hour Part-time with no benefits.
