Applied Materials is seeking a Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Master Black Belt to lead enterprise-wide improvement initiatives across a globally matrixed and cross functional business. Key areas of focus may include driving improvements to maximize customer value with our innovation, product development and process development processes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead projects within and across global businesses to reduce waste and maximize customer value.Help develop and foster a culture of LSS throughout the organization by applying critical problem solving using LSS methodology.Understand data trends and drive quantified results by using analytical methods and systems.Facilitate groups using process mapping, root cause analysis and statistical tools as applicable.Employ project management skills related as required to support project success.Capture and record Best Known Methods (BKM) for dissemination across business.Functional KnowledgeExperience leading and supporting complex projects.Experience in Six Sigma tools and methodologies including DMAIC, DFSS, Lean/CI.Possess strong project management skills.Exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.Drive innovative thinking to develop solutions.LeadershipAbility to lead and influence others within a matrix organization.Support or lead projects with notable risk and complexity.Manage project risk and resource requirements.Effectively coach and mentor champions, process owners and Black Belts.Interpersonal SkillsExcellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.Adept at observing, assessing and helping team members recognize improvement areas.Develop strong rapport with those they mentor and support.Ability to influence others to drive results.EducationBachelor's Degree required (Business/Engineering).Master’s Degree preferred.Additional QualificationsMaster Black Belt certification required.10-15 years of experience.Time Type:
