We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.We are seeking a Manager of Accounting to lead and manage the GL accounting team, in areas like cash, fixed assets, accrued expenses, debt, and related processes/systems. As the organization scales, the role will also be responsible for inventory accounting and accounts receivable in the future. This individual is a key accounting team member and is accountable for the close process, day-to-day accounting, and scale/transformation of the processes and systems. The role requires establishing and maintaining working relationships with business partners across the organization, supporting management with analysis, and coaching and mentoring a high-performing team.What you’ll do:Lead and manage the GL accounting team, including day-to-day operations, training, and performance management.Oversee the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements following US GAAP and preparing and reviewing reconciliations.Partner with Logistics and Supply Chain for adequate inventory controls.Liaise with the supply chain team and Tax functions to ensure Sales and Use taxes are properly accounted for and paid to the relevant tax authorities.Analyze financial data and present findings to senior management to support decision-making by managing monthly and quarterly fluctuation analysis processes.Work cross-functionally with business partners and other functions, such as FP&A, Tax, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Logistics, and Facilities, to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting per US GAAP.Maintain internal control best-practice financial accounting processes and ensure compliance with SOX for all areas of ownership.Provide internal and external auditors with requested documentation on a timely basis.Ensure all payroll and employee benefit costs and accruals are properly reflected in the general ledger.Lead the enhancement/automation of SAP modules for capital expenditure, GRIR, inventory, and accounts payable.Collaborate with IT to maintain good system processes and controls and ensure continuous improvement for our accounting system environment.Assist the Finance team in developing budgets and forecasts.Assist with other projects as requested.Qualifications:A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is required. MS in Accounting or MBA in Accounting or Finance is a plus.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation and or equivalent professional certification is strongly preferred.Minimum 8 years of experience in financial and operational accounting.Experience at a Big 4 or regional accounting firm is strongly preferred.Experience in the manufacturing industry is strongly preferred.Working knowledge of SAP, including GL, inventory, Capex, and AP and AR modules, is required.Working knowledge of BlackLine is strongly preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Strong ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter with a strong desire to achieve results; passionate about quality, results, and progress.Strong communicator in both oral and written forms.At Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business. We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $124,800.00 - $156,000.00.
