$97,100 - $143,600Apply early as this job may be removed or filled prior to the closing date, which is approximately seven (7) days after the posting date.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Providing legal advice to internal Environment & Sustainability clients, including Remediation, Operations, Engineering, Permitting and various railroad operations clients.Assess and advise on compliance for various rail facilities and work with the team to address enforcement issues.Reviewing, drafting and leading the negotiation of consent decrees with a variety of Federal and State Agencies.Monitor and track legal and regulatory developments.Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating environmental provisions in documents associated with real estate transactions and sourcing agreements.Proactively identifying risk to the company and finding ways to minimize the risk.Researching and resolving general environmental matters affecting the company.Handling environmental litigation, including choosing appropriate outside counsel, overseeing their work, and handling cases in-house when appropriate.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited Law School with strong academic record.Admitted to practice and in good standing in at least one state.
