About the Position:We are working with one of the world’s largest law firms that has an immediate need for a stellar litigation associate to join its Chicago office as a mid-level associate in its litigation and government enforcement practice. This Chambers-ranked practice has a global reach and handles high-stakes, multijurisdictional investigations and enforcement actions, as well as sophisticated business litigation.Highlights:· Chambers-ranked litigation practice recognized for its complex multijurisdictional litigation work around the globe· Opportunity to work closely with partners in a strong client-facing role and gain hands-on litigation experience· Firm has been recognized as one of the world’s strongest law firm brands for over a decade by Thomson Reuters· Over 400 partners at the firm are women· Top of market compensationResponsibilities:· Participate in complex business litigation· Advise clients on compliance, regulatory, and enforcement matters· Conduct cross-border investigations, manage email and document reviews, conduct interviews, and summarize legal findings for presentation to clients· Take and defend depositions, draft pleadings and discovery, and argue motions in courtRequired Qualifications:· 2 or more years of commercial litigation and government enforcement experience, advising companies on compliance, regulatory, and enforcement matters· Knowledge of mass torts, complex business disputes, and class action defense is preferred· Excellent communication, analytical, and writing skills· Experience in case management, drafting pleadings and discovery, arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions· Experience conducting interviews, cross-border investigations, document reviews, and summarizing legal findings· Strong client-facing experience is preferred· Excellent academic credentials· Large law firm experience preferred and clerkship experience is also a plus
