The company has worked with DC Comics, Marvel Entertainment, HYBE, and many more of the world’s biggest entertainment brands.Reporting to the Head of IR and Corporate Finance, the Corporate Finance and IR Manager will be responsible for significant contributions to both the financial reporting and investor relations functions at WEBTOON Entertainment. This dual-focused role is initially split 50/50 between Corporate Finance and Investor Relations, offering the opportunity to transition into a full Corporate Finance Manager role upon the future hiring of a dedicated Investor Relations Manager. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to both corporate finance initiatives and investor relations activities, with a particular emphasis on the financial aspects of IR.What You'll Do:
Key player in the SEC reporting process, including preparing sections of the 10-Q’s, 10-K’s and 8-K’s, effectively utilizing Active Disclosure softwareReview and Double check monthly consolidation process with to prepare consolidated financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows and statement of stockholders’ equity, including post-close adjustments as necessary for accurate financial reporting with Consolidation team in KoreaEnsure completion of supporting documentation for footnote disclosures, periodic disclosures, and audit support, including disclosure checklistPerform monthly and quarterly analysis on stock compensation, profitability and earnings per share to ensure compliance with the relevant guidancePerform technical accounting research regarding new pronouncements and accounting issues that impact the business and prepare technical accounting memos regarding appropriate accounting treatment (e.g. debt, hedges, leases)Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley requirements are met for relevant areas (e.g., disclosure, stock compensation, equity accounting)Liaison with external and internal auditors to assist in meeting audit and review requestsWork with the Director of Financial Reporting to ensure press release and quarterly earnings messages are consistent with other financial reports.Address investor inquiries, particularly those related to company financials and requests, promptly and consistently, ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of publicly available information.Build strong working relationships with key personnel across various business units within the company.Participate in the completion of various projects and initiatives, including new systems, processes, and structure changes, that arise as the company expands its operationsPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting1-3 years of relevant experienceStrong grasp of US GAAP accounting requirements, Reg S-K, and Reg S-XStrong technical accounting reporting experience including experience writing technical accounting memosExperience using Active DisclosurePrevious public company financial reporting experienceHighly detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet multiple deadlinesExcellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skillsProven analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis in MS ExcelAbility to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, quickly changing production environmentCPA certification preferredExperience in US public company investor relations (IR) is a plusProficiency in both English and Korean is an advantage.What we offer:
