Engage and develop partnerships with employers to secure participants’ employment.Principal Accountabilities

Support social services clients in job searching and placement.Establish and maintain working relationships with employers, industry organizations, and public agencies to source job openings and secure employment and vocational training opportunities for clients.Evaluate individuals’ backgrounds, skills, and interests and match them to potential job openings and training opportunities.Coach and prepare candidates for interviews and entry into the workforce.Responsible for the job placement of 108 participants per contract year.Develop a Life Skills/Job Readiness module to include conflict management, financial management, self-management, interviewing techniques, non-verbal communication, building self-esteem, anger management, problem-solving, workplace etiquette, and critical thinking.Provide instructions on completing a job application, emphasizing the importance of presenting all positive attributes and providing all the information the employer needs.Prepare monthly employment progress reports for each participant and input into the EMPOWR database.Education

Bachelor of Arts and/or Bachelor of Education and/or Bachelor of Business Administration or a combination of education and experience.Experience

2-4 years of experience in social services or individual client-based service, training, and job development. Established partnerships with employers a plus. Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks.
