Danfoss in Eden Prairie, MN is searching for a Solutions Engineering Intern to start in Summer 2025. The intern will support ongoing new system development programs applicable to agricultural and construction vehicles. This intern will also be involved in system design, analysis, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:General support of ongoing research programs with both hands-on and theoretical engineering work.Design, assemble, test and troubleshoot prototype multi-domain systems (hydraulic, mechanical, controls).Document results and draw conclusions to support lead engineers.Perform both “desk type” analysis and “hands on” engineering work.Minimum Qualifications
The ideal candidate possesses these skills:Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering.Availability to work full-time in the Summer and potentially continue on during the semester full-time or part-time.Demonstrated hands-on mechanical, electrical and/or software aptitude.Prior experience with the operation of farming, construction equipment, or automobiles is a plus.Experience with hydraulic systems and components.Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams including mechanical, software, electronics, and vehicle systems.Familiarity with DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) tools.Excellent problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Candidates must be located within 50 miles of the work location.Danfoss – Engineering Tomorrow
