The position is designed for an entry level analyst that will split their time between operational and research responsibilities. The position will provide the applicant with broad exposure to the firm’s back office and trading infrastructure as well as its investment process. Applicants must have a strong attention to detail and proactive desire to learn. The position will report to the firm’s Chief Investment Officer.Job ResponsibilitiesCoordinate alternative/private investment research agenda. Track new ideas through the research process.Serve as a member of the private and alternative investment research team; conduct initial due diligence screening new ideas.Participate in due diligence meetings and conduct additional analysis as directed.Support the maintenance and updating of due diligence documentation for liquid alternative and private investments.Provide operational support for private investments:
Support any needs around subscription documents, redemption requestsTrack and communicate K-1/1099 tax reportingMaintain private investments in performance reporting and trading systemsServe as subject matter expert around operational process and requirements of recommended private investments
Manage relationship with private investment platform providers.Serve as point person on Delaware Statutory Trusts/1031 exchange funds solutions and offerings.Oversee internal communication and publication of Investment Strategy Group content.Write up and maintain Weekly ISG meeting minutes.Support research process in traditional asset classes, including updating select ETF due diligence reports.Prepare regular and ad hoc reporting for the CIO and Investment Strategy Group.QualificationsCollege Degree, with a major in finance, accounting and/or economics.Progress toward or the completion of either the Chartered Financial Analysis (CFA) or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.Other Relevant InformationThis is a full-time position based in our office in Los Angeles, CA, Sausalito, CA, or Chicago, IL.Salary Range: $65,000 – $100,000 + bonus.
