Responsible for conducting groups to teach youth targeted life skills by incorporating activities to prevent youth alcohol misuse, drug, tobacco, vaping use, violence, and other risk behaviors. They will increase youth self-management skills, social skills, drug awareness, good decision-making, and critical thinking.Primary Duties
Work with clients aged 5-24 years.Complete assessments and create Initial Life Skills Plans for each client.Conduct groups for clients.Complete documentation in the EHR system.Provide service linkages to clients in the areas of health, mental health, education, employment, and substance abuse.Meet with clients/families weekly, keep accurate and up-to-date case notes on client progress, and document services delivered.Create an atmosphere of care and respect for clients.Conduct outreach.Travel to different schools and locations in Baltimore City to conduct groups.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a human services area (preferred) /Bachelor's degree in a field other than mental health.Minimum of two [2] years' experience working directly with children and families.Willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings.Willing to travel in Baltimore and surrounding areas.Knowledge and respect for confidentiality of each client.Strong organizational and verbal and written communication skills.License/Certification
Driver's License (Required)Must be licensed in the state of MD with one of the following: active master level license (LMSW, LGPC, LCSW, LCSW-C, LCPC) in Maryland.Benefits
