Minimum Requirements:10+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experienceBA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 10+ years of finance experience OR Master’s degree and 8+ years of finance experienceThe Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS) FP&A organization is dedicated to working closely with the business leadership team to formulate the medium to long term financial and strategic plans for grocery, omni-channel and new physical store formats across Amazon. We seek to increase efficiency and profitability by analyzing financial and operational results to better understand business performance and communicate results to senior management.This Principal Finance role will support controllership initiatives across the WWGS organization. This role will ensure that the WW Grocery, Stores & Stores Tech Finance processes stay ahead of risks associated with growth in areas of process design, internal control effectiveness, computer system integration, and other relevant areas. This role partners regularly with a broad range of finance and business leaders across the WW Stores/Grocery/Operations/FP&A/Accounting organizations often at some of the most senior levels within the company.Key Job Responsibilities:

Key liaison and point of contact for the WW Amazon Stores (WWAS) and Corporate Controllership teamsProject manage key controllership initiatives from WWAS/Corporate across the Grocery organizationCoordinate across WW Grocery, Amazon Stores, Accounting & Stores Tech Finance organization to identify and drive resolution of any controls issues, share best practices, publish dashboards and follow up on completion of key controls tasksAnalyze defect root causes and propose remediation and avoidance strategies across the organizationWork cross-functionally with accounting teams as well as business teams within WW Grocery, Stores & Stores Tech to identify business requirements and implement controlsDrive adherence to spending policies across functional teamsDrive end-to-end process mapping for inventory/procurement/contract managementDrive 'real' P&L and Balance Sheet impact via a stronger controls framework / process improvementsSupport improved financial reporting and planning for all P&L and Balance Sheet items within the Grocery businessSupport hiring and developing the Finance teamPreferred Qualifications:MBA, or CPAExperience in a leadership position managing finance, accounting and operational processesExperience with Tableau, Python, SQB, Quicksight, Cognos or other BI packages12+ years of finance technology, forecast & budgeting, or other finance-focused competency experienceAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
