**Work Schedule/Work Hours:**

Available M-F, rotating Saturdays, 3:30 am start time

Full Time employees supporting contracts for the Federal government that are covered by the Service Contract Act (SCA) earn fringe benefits according to their Wage Determination.

**OBJECTIVE:**

To operate vehicles in a safe manner necessary in order to support the mission of the organization. Drive the delivery truck, picking up and delivering goods to customers on scheduled routes.

It is preferred that the incumbent have excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to interact with the Project Manager, Supervisor, Laundry Workers and customers at the pickup/delivery sites. The Truck Driver must maintain a professional attitude, appropriate hygiene, dress and grooming and be punctual and dependable. Incumbent must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend and stoop at frequent intervals, push and pull carts weighing up to 600 pounds.

CLASS B CDL is preferred but not required.

You will work with a team of professionals and help ensure we make the best use of our resources to help achieve our mission. We prefer you are a team player, professional who is willing to "roll up the sleeves!"

**What Else You'll Bring to the Table**

In addition to the qualifications detailed above, you'll need:

+ To be a high-energy, positive thinker.

+ An interest and empathy for people with disadvantages and disabilities.

+ Minimum of two years of truck driving experience with a safe record is essential.

+ A Current CLASS B CDL is preferred but not required

+ Able to obtain medical examination card.

+ Able to do occasional overtime.

+ Per contract requirements with vehicle insurance provider: Qualified candidates must be 21 years of age and have no major traffic violations for previous 3 years (for driving/insurance purposes). Must have reliable transportation; must also be able to operate company vehicle.

**More About Your Role**

To be sure we're providing a complete picture; here are some additional details about your role. Your specific activities will include:

+ Check and maintain the driver maintenance of the vehicle assigned. Report any deficiencies to Manager. Maintain fuel and oil consumption records as required by Goodwill directives.

+ Drive a heavy truck for transporting or delivering laundry material in large quantities to customers.

+ Place laundry materials, loaded in mobile carts in the vehicle so as to form a compact load which will not shift or be damaged in transit and so that articles may be unloaded in desired orders.

+ Secure each load with straps or other fastenings to hold in place.

+ Driver will sign for all items received and obtain signatures for items delivered, assume responsibility for goods in transit.

+ Prepare and maintain shipping records.

+ Communicate effectively with employees, co-workers and customers, treating all in a professional and courteous manner.

+ Communicate concerns and behaviors of consumers with the supervisor and also perform all other duties as assigned or directed by supervisor.

+ Help provide a safe working environment for you, customers and fellow employees.

+ All other duties as assigned.
