Join our diverse team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!This role is a part of Test & Flight Operations team, providing centralized support to Business Units with the focus on design, build and maintenance of the ground systems, test and launch facilities across multiple locations. Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth!As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists, you'll perform environmental testing of hardware for various spaceflight systems. In this hands-on position you'll work directly with a small team operating and maintaining the environmental test equipment we use for development and acceptance testing of flight hardware.Additional responsibilities include:

Conduct hands-on thermal, vibration, shock and vacuum testing on flight hardware in accordance with MIL-STD-810, SMC-S-016 and MIL-STD-1540Proven track record to work with test, flight and safety critical hardware, tools and shop equipmentSetup and safely operate high energy systems (e.g. high pressure gas and electrical)Operate and maintain environmental test equipment including data acquisition systems, environmental chambers, vibration systems and instrumentation systemsConduct and/or coordinate several test projects simultaneously while supporting operations schedulesConfigure test setups, fixtures and instrumentation per test plans and standardsGenerate test plans, test reports, procedures, and work instructions from customer requirementsDesign test fixtures per requirements, test plans and standardsMaintain cleanliness of test equipment and test labIdentify, communicate, and mitigate cost, schedule and technical risksParticipate in Process/Job Hazard AssessmentsWeekends and OT dependent on company needsWe are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Experience in a testing environment and working with test equipmentAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, standards and technical requirementsDemonstrated familiarity with data acquisition systems, data analysis and data processingStrong safety mentality and experience, including hands-on experience planning and conducting hazardous or critical operationsAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Desired:

A.S. or equivalent experience in engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, or physics desired)Previous experience operating test equipment of a similar magnitudeExperience in using automation applications such as LabView or similar tools2+ years' experience in a similar work environmentAbility to utilize test instrumentation and control components: pressure transducers, thermocouples, RTDs, strain gauges, accelerometers, flow meters, load cells, relays, solenoid valves, preferredAbility to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics and reportsExperienced with high pressure system design and handlingExperienced with cryogenic systems and handling.Experienced with hydraulic system design and handlingExperience using test instrumentation and control componentsIntermediate skill level using NI Labview / TestStandWeekend shifts or overtime are frequently required for particular tasks or test seriesPosition level commensurate with experienceCompensation Range for:WA applicants is $24.02-$33.62
